Turner went eight innings for the 'Wolves

After finally stopping a five-game losing streak Sunday with a dramatic ninth-inning win over the Akron Aeros, the SeaWolves turned to their ace and stopper Jacob Turner in hopes of starting a winning streak of their own Monday.

Despite eight strong innings from Turner, the SeaWolves' bats turned cold, as they fell in the series opener to the Richmond Squirrels 3-2. Erie moved to 47-55 with the loss, and dropped to fourth place in the Western Division.
