AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Toledo 4, Indianapolis 2
55-63, 4th in West Division
Fu-Te Ni turned in another strong start, but Brendan Wise got the win in relief for the Hens. Ni went 6 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Wise recorded four outs without allowing a run, while Chance Ruffin earned his eighth save for pitching a perfect ninth. Brandon Inge went 2-for-4 with a two run homer, while Max St. Pierre added a hit, a walk and an RBI.
AA Erie Seawolves - Erie 4, New Hampshire 2
56-59, 5th in Western Division
Casey Crosby led the way for the 'Wolves, tossing six shutout innings, allowing only three hits and a walk and striking out eight. Jared Gayhart and Tyler Stohr each allowed a run, but combined to pitch the final three innings to seal the win, with Stohr earning the save. Audy Ciriaco went 3-for-4 including a double with two runs scored and an RBI, Deik Scram also added two hits including a double and scored a run.
A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Suspended: Rain
18-24, 6th in North Division
Lakeland and Daytona were postponed on Tuesday - they'll make the game up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
A West Michigan Whitecaps - West Michigan 4, Great Lakes 3
24-20, t-3rd in Eastern division
The Whitecaps pulled out a one run victory when Luis Castillo singled home Jeff Rowland after Rowland ripped a triple to take a walk-off win. Kyle Ryan had gotten the start, allowing two runs in four innings with six strikeouts. Daniel Bennett got the win in relief for tossing two shutout innings. Luis Sanz had two hits and drove in two runs, while Hernan Perez added a solo home run.
SS-A Connecticut Tigers - Postponed: Rain
21-27, 2nd in Stedler Division
Connecticut's game was postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
R GCL Tigers - Pirates 8, Tigers 6
20-24, 4th in North Division
Jake Sabol got the start for the GCL and took the loss, giving up seven runs (six earned) in 5 2/3 innings of work. Guido Knudson did toss two solid innings of relief, allowing just one unearned run. Juaner Aguasvivas went 2-for-4 with a two run homer and three RBI total, while Luis Cortez added three hits including a double and drove in two. Danry Vasquez and Brandon Eckerle each added two hits as well.
R DSL Tigers - Braves 5, Tigers 4
18-39, 4th in DSL SPM Division
The DSL Tigers gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth to take the loss. Ricardo Ciriaco earned the loss for allowing the eventual winning run on base, while Angel Nesbitt allowed him to score. Luis Hidalgo got the start and gave up three runs (two earned) in 4 2/3 innings. Sandy Acevedo went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the loss.
