AAA Toledo Mud Hens - Toledo 6, Louisville 4
56-63, 4th in West Division
Adam Wilk was outstanding in Toledo's win, giving up just one run on three hits with a walk and nine strikeouts in eight innings of work. Lester Oliveros allowed three runs in relief, but Enrique Gonzalez cleaned things up for his eighth save. Ben Guez had a big game, going 3-for-4 with a double and driving in four runs. Danny Worth also added a double and a triple and scored twice.
AA Erie Seawolves - New Hampshire 8, Erie 0
56-60, 5th in Western Division
The SeaWolves were shut out and didn't shine on the mound either. Jay Voss got the start and took the loss, allowing four runs in five innings of work. He did strike out eight however. Robbie Weinhardt and Ramon Garcia then combined to allow the final four runs. At the plate, Brandon Douglas managed three of the club's five hits, all of which were singles.
A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – Postponed: Rain
18-24, 6th in North Division
Lakeland and Daytona were again postponed on Wednesday - one of the games will not be made up, while they will try to play a doubleheader on Thursday.
A West Michigan Whitecaps - Dayton 5, West Michigan 3
24-21, t-4th in Eastern division
Josue Carreno turned in an excellent start for the Whitecaps but the bullpen faltered. Carreno tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and no walks with nine strikeouts. Ryan Woolley though allowed three runs in his inning of relief to let the game get tied up, and Kevan Hess allowed two more to take the loss. Steven Moya had a hit and two RBI, while Nick Castellanos went 2-for-2 with a double and two walks, scoring once. Luis Castillo also added two hits including a double.
SS-A Connecticut Tigers - GM1: Connecticut 6, Jamestown 0
GM2: Jamestown 8, Connecticut 4
22-28, 2nd in Stedler Division
Wilsen Palacios went the distance in the first game, tossing a two-hit shutout with a walk and a strikeout. Javier Azcona went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Tyler Collins, Aaron Westlake and Dean Green all each added a double and an RBI. Pedro Perez got the start in the second game and tossed four shutout innings, but Jeff Barfield and Rayni Guichardo couldn't hold the lead late, with Barfield blowing the save and Guichardo allowing three runs to take the loss. Green had two hits and two RBI while Collins added two hits including a double, two walks, two runs scored and a run driven in.
R GCL Tigers - Postponed: Rain
20-24, 4th in North Division
The GCL Tigers and GCL Blue Jays will try and make up their rained out game on Thursday as part of a doubleheader.
R DSL Tigers - GM1: Blue Jays 10, Tigers 1
GM2: Tigers 7, Blue Jays 2
19-40, 4th in DSL SPM Division
In the first game, five pitchers took the mound, with Rafael Manzanillo taking the loss, but he didn't last long, recording just two outs while walking three. Gregory Morillo and Miguel Montero each allowed four runs after that, while Che Yeyne Abad did toss two scoreless innings to close the game out. Sandy Acevedo scored the team's only run, while Samuel Crafort had a triple. Carlos Alvarado got the win in the second game, giving up two runs in five innings. Samuel Ortiz had a double and drove in two, while Raynolds Guzman went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
