AAA Toledo Mud Hens
4-4, T-2nd in West Division

Matt Hoffman allowed the game-tying run in the eighth and Jose Ortega gave up a walk-off single in the ninth, picking up the loss. The bullpen ruined what was a great start for Andrew Oliver, who gave up one earned run over six innings. Oliver only gave up three hits and had nine strikeouts, but he also walked four batters, still showing control issues. Brad Eldred went 2-for-4 with a double, a RBI and a run scored. Quintin Berry went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

AA Erie Seawolves
3-4, 5th in Eastern Division

John Murrian hit a two-run homer to cap off four-run eighth as the SeaWolves won. Rawley Bishop went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Jordan Lennerton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Zack Segovia got the start for Erie and gave up two runs (one earned) over six innings. Michael Morrison gave up one hit over two scoreless innings and picked up the win.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
4-4, 3rd in North Division

Brian Flynn gave up two earned runs over six innings as he moved to 2-0 on the season. Flynn gave up six hits and struck out four batters. The first six batters in the Lakeland lineup each had two hits. Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Daniel Fields went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and a run scored.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
4-4, 4th in Eastern Division

Danry Vasquez hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to give West Michigan the lead, and the Whitecaps held on to hand Lansing its first loss of the season. Vasquez went 3-for-4 in the game. Steven Moya went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and a run scored. Kyle Ryan got the start for the Whitecaps, giving up three earned runs on eight hits over five innings and left with the game tied at three. Jade Todd pitched 1 1/3 innings, giving up a run in the eighth, but picked up the win after Vasquez’s homer. Daniel Bennett gave up one hit in the ninth, but picked up his first save of the season.
