In the first game of the doubleheader, Casey Crosby got the start and only lasted three innings, giving up five runs (three earned). He gave up four hits and four walks and earned the loss. Trailing 5-0, Jerad Head hit a solo home run in in the fifth inning, his first of the year. Head went 1-for-3. Danny Worth was the only Mud Hen with multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double. Rob Waite gave up four earned runs in the sixth inning, and lasted 2 2/3 innings.
Jose Ortega blew a save, but picked up the win after Argenis Diaz singled home a run in the top of the 10th. Ramon Garcia gave up two runs (one earned) in three innings in the start. Luke Putkonen and Chris Bootcheck didn’t give up a run over five innings. With the score tied at two in the top of the ninth, Worth (1-for-5) hit a solo home run to give Toledo the lead. Ortega blew the save, but the offense came through again in the 10th. Head went 1-for-4 with his second home run of the day.

Jordan Lennerton went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, but the Erie pitching struggled all game long. Kevin De La Cruz gave up four earned runs over four innings in the start and was credited with the loss. All four runs were scored in the second. Jared Gayhart gave up two runs in three innings and Robbie Weinhardt gave up one run in two innings out of the bullpen. Rob Brantly went 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI.

Shawn Teufel gave up two earned runs over 5 1/3 innings and picked up his first win of the season. James Robbins went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Nick Castellanos went 1-for-3 with a walk. Matt Crouse gave up just one walk over 2 2/3 innings and Bruce Rondon gave up one walk in a scoreless ninth, picking up the save.

Jade Todd gave up a run in the eighth inning with the game tied, picking up the loss. Wilsen Palacios got the start, giving up three earned runs over 4 2/3 innings. Brandon Loy went 2-for-4 with a double, a RBI and two runs scored. Aaron Westlake and Steven Moya each went 1-for-4 with a double and a RBI.
