Jerad Head homered in his third straight game as the Mud Hens roughed up A.J. Burnett. Thad Weber got the start for Toledo and gave up one earned run on two hits over six innings, picking up the win. Four Mud Hens homered in the game: Ryan Strieby (1-for-4), Brad Eldred (1-for-5), Danny Worth (2-for-5 and Head (1-for-4). Eric Patterson went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Each batter in the starting lineup scored a run for Toledo.

James Avery gave up six runs (four earned) over 5 2/3 innings and was credited with the loss. The SeaWolves were down 4-3 in the sixth inning, when Mekly Mesa hit a two-run homer for Trenton. Niuman Romero went 4-for-5 with an RBI for Erie. Michael Rockett went 2-for-3. Jordan Lennerton went 1-for-3 with his second home run in as many games.

The Flying Tigers were held to just three hits in the game. Alex Burgos got the start for Lakeland and only gave up five baserunners over five innings, but all three hits he gave up were for extra bases as Burgos picked up the loss. Tyler Collins, Hernan Perez and James McCann each had singled for Lakeland. Patrick Cooper gave up four hits over three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

The Whitecaps scored five runs in the final two innings to break a 2-2 tie and pull away for the win. Dean Green went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in the first inning. After West Michigan scored a run on an RBI groundout from Aaron Westlake in the eighth, Chad Wright hit a grand slam with one out in the ninth inning, breaking the game open. Josue Carreno gave up two earned runs over six innings in the start, but Luis Sanz picked up the win pitching 1 2/3 innings out of the bullpen. Daniel Bennett pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save.
