Brooks Brown gave up three hits and no runs, but only lasted four innings. So Rob Waite filled in with a 7-0 lead and gave up two earned runs in 2 2/3 innings, but was credited with the win. The Lakeland offense jumped on Clearwater early and often, scoring two runs in the first and third innings, sandwiched around a three-run second. Wade Gaynor went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Avisail Garcia and James McCann both went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Brian Flynn gave up one unearned run on four hits over seven innings, moving to 3-0 on the season.
