Casey Crosby gave up one earned run over five innings to pick up his first win of the season. Crosby gave up five hits and two walks, striking out five. Eric Patterson went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Brad Eldred went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Brayan Villarreal gave up one hit over three scoreless innings to pick up the save. The Mud Hens have won six games in a row.

Kelvin De La Cruz gave up just two hits over six scoreless innings to earn the victory. Robbie Weinhardt gave up two hits and one earned run in three innings of relief, picking up the save. Rob Brantly went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Niuman Romero went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers

The Flying Tigers game was postponed due to rain. They will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.

Wilsen Palacios threw a quality start, giving up four runs (two earned) over six innings, but Ramon Lebron gave up three earned runs in one-plus innings of relief. Lebron actually didn’t give up a hit, but did give up three walks to lead off the eighth innings before being pulled. All the baserunners scored. Steven Moya went 3-for-4 with a double. Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with a double and the lone RBI for the Whitecaps.
