Casey Crosby gave up two earned runs over 5 2/3 innings to move to 3-2 on the year. There was a lot of good and a lot of bad for Crosby. He have up just three hits and struck out nine, but he also walked a staggering seven batters. Argenis Diaz went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Eric Patterson went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

AA Erie Seawolves
11-14, 4th in Eastern Division

James Avery threw a five-hit shutout to improve his record to 4-1 on the year. Avery walked one and struck out eight on the night. Erie’s lone run was scored on a single by Ben Guez in the bottom of the eighth to score Niuman Romero, who went 1-for-4 with a double. Guez went 1-for-4.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
13-12, T-2nd in North Division

Making his third start of the season, Jacob Turner gave up four earned runs over 4 2/3 innings to record the loss. Turner gave up five hits to go with three walks and six strikeouts. At the plate, Nick Castellanos went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Tyler Collins went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

14-13, T-4th in Eastern Division

Aaron Westlake hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the 11th to give West Michigan the win. Westlake went 1-for-4 with the home run. Josue Carreno got the start and gave up one hit and one earned run over six innings in a no-decision. Daniel Bennett picked up the win after pitching a scoreless 11th. Jeff Holm went 2-for-4.
