Adam Wilk gave up two runs (one earned) over five innings, but left the game trailing 2-1 and recorded the loss as the bullpen and offense struggled. Zach Miner relieved Wilk and gave up four earned runs over 1 2/3 innings, as Columbus broke the game open. Brent Dlugach went 1-for-1 with the lone RBI for Toledo. Each Mud Hen hit was a single from five different players.

AA Erie Seawolves
13-15, 3rd in Eastern Division

Wade Gaynor went 1-for-3 with a grand slam to lead Erie. Gaynor also scored two runs. Jared Wesson went five innings in the start, giving up three earned runs to pick up the win. Niuman Romero went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Rob Brantly went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Michael Morrison gave up one earned run in a four-inning save.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
15-13, T-2nd in North Division

Shawn Teufel gave up six earned runs on 10 hits over 2 2/3 innings to pick up the loss. James Robbins went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run to lead Lakeland at the plate. Hernan Perez went 2-for-4. Tyler White gave up four earned run pitching the final two innings for the Flying Tigers.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
14-16, 5th in Eastern Division

Dean Green went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, but it wasn’t enough for West Michigan. Brennan Smith got the start and gave up two earned runs over four innings, leaving the game down 2-1. Tim Kelley came in relief and was in line for the win when the Whitecaps scored two in the top of the sixth, but Kelley gave up two in the bottom frame and ended up with the loss. Kelley pitched three innings. Brandon Loy went 2-for-4, while Aaron Westlake went 1-for-4.
