Toledo's game was suspended in the eighth inning. It will be continued Wednesday. Before the rain,Brad Eldred returned to his old form, going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer. Casey Crosby got the start, giving up three earned runs over six innings. He walked four but struck out seven. Justin Henry is 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

AA Erie Seawolves
13-17, 5th in Eastern Division

In the first game of the doubleheader, Erie was only able to manage two hits. Ben Guez and John Murrian recorded the only two base hits, each singles. Kelvin De La Cruz pitched all six innings for Erie, giving up one earned run on five hits and five walks.

In the second game, the SeaWolves bats were quiet again. Erie managed one run on four hits. Rob Brantly went 2-for-3. Jordan Lennerton went 1-for-3with a double and an RBI. James Avery got the start, but gave up four earned runs on six hits in two innings to pick up the loss.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
16-14, T-2nd in North Division

Jacob Turner turned in his best start of the season, giving up four hits over seven scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the year. Turner also struck out eight batters. Avisail Garcia went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. Dixon Machado went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Ryan Woolley gave up one earned run in 2/3 of an innings, but Tyler Clark pitched the final 1 1/3 innings to record the save.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
16-16, 5th in Eastern Division

Patrick Leyland drove home two runs with a single in the top of the ninth to give Lakeland the lead and the Flying Tigers held on for the win. Marcelo Carreno gave up five runs (four earned) in 4 1/3 innings in the start. Michael Torrealba got the win after pitching the eighth inning. He struggled in the ninth, giving up a run, so Daniel Bennett got the final out to pick up the save. Curt Casali went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Leyland also went 3-for-5.
