AAA Toledo Mud Hens
24-24, 2nd in West Division
Argenis Diaz hit a two-out, two-RBI double in the top of the ninth as the Mud Hens scored three in the inning for the comeback win. Diaz's only hit of the game scored the game-tying and game-winning runs. Jacob Turner gave up four earned runs in 6 2/3 innings in the start. After a leadoff double, Turner retired 14 of the next 16. But he allowed three runs in his final 1 2/3 innings of work. Jose Ortega pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings and picked up the win, while Chris Bootcheck earned the save with a scoreless, one-hit ninth. Audy Ciriaco went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
AA Erie Seawolves
23-23, 3rd in Eastern Division
Wade Gaynor went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer. All seven Erie runs were scored in the fourth inning. Ramon Garcia allowed three earned runs in 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win. Robbie Weinhardt gave up one hit over 2 2/3 scoreless innings for the save. Niuman Romero went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
23-23, 3rd in North Division
Brian Flynn gave up five earned runs over five innings to drop to 4-2 on the season. Nick Castellanos went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored, moving his average up to .419. James McCann went 2-for-4 with the lone RBI. Ryan Woolley allowed two runs (one earned) over two innings.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
21-27, 7th in Eastern Division
Thomas Collier lasted just 1 1/3 innings in the start, giving up six runs (five earned) in the second inning. Curt Casali went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs scored. Aaron Westlake went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Michael Torrealba gave up three hits over the final two scoreless innings of relief.
Johan Belisario gave up two earned runs over five innings, but fell to 0-2 on the year. Angel Vasquez gave up six runs (four earned) over three innings of relief. Nine Tigers each recorded one hit, but only one was for extra bases. Carlos Perez hit a pinch-hit solo home run, but the Tigers went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left 10 runners on base.
