AAA Toledo Mud Hens
24-26, 3rd in West Division
Thad Weber allowed five runs over six innings to drop to 3-3 on the season. Weber allowed five hits, four of which were home runs. Toledo scored one in the top of the first, but Pawtucket answered with a three-run frame and never lost the lead. Two runs off Matt Hoffman in the eighth (on another home run) helped the Red Sox pull away. Jeff Frazier went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored to lead Toledo at the plate. Justin Henry went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
AA Erie Seawolves
24-23, 3rd in Eastern Division
Erie's game against Akron was postponed due to rain. The teams will play a doubleheader Monday beginning at 1:35 p.m.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
24-24, 3rd in North Division
Luis Angel Sanz threw five scoreless innings, allowing seven hits while striking out five and picked up the win. Nick Castellanos went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and two runs scored. Luis Castillo went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Dixon Machado went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Matt Crouse allowed just one hit in a four-inning save.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
21-29, 7th in Eastern Division
Steven Moya 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, but it wasn't enough. Brennan Smith didn't allow a run through his first six innings, but couldn't get any of the first four batters of the seventh out, and he finished with three earned runs on 10 hits. After losing the 3-0 lead, Melvin Mercedes gave up a run in the eighth and picked up the loss. Dayton scored two more in the ninth to pull away. Chad Wright went 2-for-4.
The Tigers were off on Sunday. They will play the Rays on Monday.
