After Toledo scored four runs in the top of the ninth to take a two-run lead, Chris Bootcheck allowed three runs (two earned) in the bottom of the inning and picked up the loss. Adam Wilk allowed five runs over 6 1/3 innings in the start. Ben Guez went 3-for-4 with a two run homer, while Eric Patterson went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run.

25-24, 3rd in Eastern Division

Erie’s game in Trenton was suspended in the fifth inning due to rain with the game tied at three. It will be continued Wednesday, following by the regularly-scheduled game.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers

Alex Burgos allowed five earned runs over 4 2/3 innings to drop to 2-7 on the season. Tyler Collins went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored as the only Flying Tiger with multiple hits. Zach Maggard went 1-for-3 with a solo home run.

23-29, 7th in Eastern Division

Marcelo Carreno threw five scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the season. He allowed five hits and struck out three. Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Dean Green went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Pat Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run.

Orvin Tovar went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Anthony Castro gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits over 4 2/3 innings, but Luis Cedeno picked up the win after a perfect 1/3 of an inning. Edgar Pina threw a perfect ninth for the save. Franklin Navarro went 3-for-4.
