Brad Eldred hit a three-run homer in the sixth to turn a one-run deficit into a one-run lead. Eldred went 2-for-3. Thad Weber got the start and allowed two earned runs on five hits over seven innings. Weber walked two and struck out 12 to move to 4-3 on the year. Justin Henry went 3-for-4 with a run scored. Brent Dlugach went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

AA Erie Seawolves
25-27, 3rd in Eastern Division

Erie’s game against Richmond was suspended in the second inning due to rain. The game will be continued Saturday, as part of a doubleheader.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
26-26, 3rd in North Division

Marcus Lemon went 1-for-2 with three walks, one double, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Flying Tigers. James McCann went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Shawn Teufel gave up four earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in the start and picked up the win. Bruce Rondon pitched a scoreless ninth for his 11th save and 12th straight scoreless outing.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
25-30, 7th in Eastern Division

Michael Torrealba allowed five unearned runs the final 1 2/3 innings and picked up the loss, as a three-run ninth for the Whitecaps fell just short. Lake County scored three in the seventh and four in the eighth, with a West Michigan error contributing to each inning. Brennan Smith allowed one earned run over five innings in the start. Eugenio Suarez went 4-for-5 with three doubles, an RBI and one run scored. Dean Green went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.

Eduardo Jimenez allowed four earned runs over two innings in the start and fell to 0-2 on the year. Franklin Navarro went 3-for-4, while Javier Betancourt went 2-for-3 with a double. Jairo Sanchez allowed two earned runs in one inning of relief. The Tigers left 10 runners on base.
