Brad Eldred hit a three-run homer in the sixth to turn a one-run deficit into a one-run lead. Eldred went 2-for-3. Thad Weber got the start and allowed two earned runs on five hits over seven innings. Weber walked two and struck out 12 to move to 4-3 on the year. Justin Henry went 3-for-4 with a run scored. Brent Dlugach went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Lake County scored three in the seventh and four in the eighth, with a West Michigan error contributing to each inning. Brennan Smith allowed one earned run over five innings in the start. Eugenio Suarez went 4-for-5 with three doubles, an RBI and one run scored. Dean Green went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.
