27-33, 3rd in West Division
Thad Weber allowed just two earned runs over seven innings, but didn't get any help from the offense, or the bullpen. Matt Hoffman and Collin Balester combined to give up three runs in the eighth to turn a 2-1 deficit into 5-1. Ryan Strieby went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Argenis Diaz went 2-for-4 as the only Mud Hen with multiple hits. Ben Guez went 1-for-4 with a double
AA Erie Seawolves
28-29, 3rd in Eastern Division
Zack Segovia gave up five runs (four earned) over five innings to drop to 5-6 on the season. Nick Castellanos went 2-for-5, while Jamie Johnson went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. David Kopp gave up two earned runs in the seventh inning. All four Erie runs were scored after the seventh-inning stretch.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
28-27, 3rd in North Division
In the first game of the doubleheader, Brian Flynn gave up four earned runs on 10 hits over five innings and picked up the loss. Tyler Collins was the lone Flying Tiger with multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. James Robbins went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Lakeland went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
In the second game, Wade Gaynor went 1-for-2 with a home run, four RBIs and a run scored to led Lakeland at the plate. Avisail Garcia went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Ryan Woolley gave up two earned runs over 3 2/3 innings in the start, but Matt Crouse pitched a scoreless 2 1/3 innings and picked up the win.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
29-30, 4th in Eastern Division
Kyle Ryan allowed one earned run over seven innings as the Whitecaps won for the eighth time in nine games. Ryan allowed seven hits and struck out six. Steven Moya and Dean Green each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Brandon Loy went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Johan Belisario gave up six earned runs on 10 hits over four innings to drop to 0-3 on the season. Carlos Perez went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, while Albertin Chavez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
1-2, 3rd in San Pedro de Macoris
