June 3rd Games
AAA Toledo Mud Hens
27-35, 3rd in West Division
Adam Wilk pitched a complete game, giving up three earned runs on six hits, but fell to 2-6 with little help from the offense. Rob Brantly went 3-for-4 with an RBI, but the Mud Hens left nine on base. Austin Jackson went 1-for-4 in his second rehab game. Ryan Strieby went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
AA Erie Seawolves
29-30, 3rd in Eastern Division
Jordan Lennerton went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Erie offense. James Avery gave up three earned runs over five innings in the start and picked up the win. Kenny Faulk gave up a run in the ninth, but picked up the save. Bryan Pounds went 2-for-4 with a triple a home run, two RBIs and a run scored.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
30-28, 3rd in North Division
Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, although the Flying Tigers went 5-for-15 with runners in scoring position. Shawn Teufel pitched all seven scoreless innings, giving up five hits and three walks and picking up the win. Marcus Lemon went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Daniel Fields went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
The second game of the doubleheader was canceled due to rain.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
30-31, 4th in Eastern Division
Wilsen Palacios gave up three runs (two earned), but wasn't given any support from the offense. Warwick Saupold pitched the final two innings and gave up two earned runs in the eighth. Eugenio Suarez went 1-for-4 with a double, while Steven Moya and Curt Casali each went 1-for-4.
Edgar Pina gave up two runs (one earned) in the ninth inning, breaking a tie and earning the loss. Jose Fuentes gave up one earned run over five innings in the start. Franklin Navarro went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Arvicent Perez went 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
2-3, T-4th in San Pedro de Macoris
Emanuel Chavez gave up five earned runs over 1 2/3 innings to drop to 0-2 on the season. Gregorio Minor gave up two earned runs over an inning of relief. Francisco Contreras went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Manuel Joseph went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
