In the first game of the doubleheader, Zach Samuels gave up two runs in the bottom of the eight after the Tigers had scored one in the top frame. Jared Wesson gave up six earned runs in four-plus innings in the start, but the SeaWolves answered with a four-run frame. James McCann went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, while Rawley Bishop went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored.

In the second game, Bishop hit a three-run homer in the first as the SeaWolves scored four in the first and second innings to blow the game open early. Niuman Romero went 3-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored. Patrick Cooper gave up two earned runs over four innings in the start, while Jared Gayhart gave up one hit over three scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Cale Iorg hit a two-out RBI-single in the bottom of the eighth to score the first run of the game, and Lakeland held on for the win. Shawn Teufel gave up three hits over seven scoreless innings in the start, but left with a no-decision. Tyler Clark pitched a perfect eighth and picked up the win, while Bruce Rondon pitched a perfect ninth for his 14th save. Iorg went 1-for-4, while Luis Castillo went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored.

Steven Moya went 1-for-4 with a grand slam to score the only West Michigan runs of the game. Wilsen Palacios gave up 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings, but just two earned runs and moved to 7-4 on the season. Bowling Green left 10 on base and went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Daniel Bennett gave up two hits and a walk in the ninth, but recorded the save.

Juan Alcantara pitched five scoreless innings in the start, but didn’t earn a decision. Rafael Manzanillo gave up two runs (one earned) over two innings of relief, but picked up the win after a three-run sixth broke a tie and gave the Tigers the lead. Gregoris Hidalgo went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored, while Victor Ovalles went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
