Gayhart was a bright spot for the 'Wolves

As the summer temperatures in Erie continue to rise the SeaWolves find themselves dropping in the Eastern League standings. Posting a record of just 2-4 this past week did not help the team move up in the standings nor help the club get above the .500 mark. A lack in run production and blown leads were the main causes for the team dropping four of their last six games.

After sliding some in the standings this week, the team howlers are currently tied for 3rd place in the Western Division with a record of 30-33, 11 games back from division leader Akron. Thunderstruck This past Thursday, Erie lost the rubber match of a three game series to the Thunder, 1-5.
