Jose Ortega gave up one hit and three walks over two innings, and Darin Downs allowed an inherited runner to score in the bottom of the 10th on a fielder’s choice. Brooks Brown got the start and allowed four runs (two earned) over six innings. Ben Guez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored as the only Mud Hen with multiple hits. Ryan Strieby went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Toledo went 3-for-13 with runners in scoring position

Ramon Garcia gave up one unearned run over eight innings as Erie won its fourth straight. Garcia allowed seven hits and two walks while striking out five. Corey Jones went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored to lead the offense. Brandon Douglas went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.

Kyle Ryan gave up two hits over eight scoreless innings to move to 4-2 on the season. Ryan also walked three while striking out five. Steven Moya went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead West Michigan at the plate. Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Michael Torrealba pitched a perfect ninth.

In the first game, John Belisario allowed two earned runs on two hits over three innings and dropped to 0-3 on the year. Orvin Tovar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, while Arvicent Perez went 1-for-1 with a double in a pinch-hitting role.

In the second game, Jose Fuentes allowed one earned run over 4 2/3 innings, but Junior Camaripano pitched a perfect 1 1/3 innings and recorded the win. Steven Fuentes went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while Jhosua Montero went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
