AAA Toledo Mud Hens
32-48, 3rd in West Division
Andrew Oliver gave up six earned runs over four innings and dropped to 4-7 on the season. Oliver allowed five hits and five walks, along with a wild pitch. Luke Putkonen gave up four earned runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Rob Brantly went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Jerad Head went 1-for-2 with two walks and two RBIs.
AA Erie Seawolves
38-39, 4th in Eastern Division
Patrick Cooper allowed five earned runs in 3 1/3 innings in the start and picked up the loss. Rawley Bishop went 0-for-4 with the lone RBI, while Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 as the only Erie player with multiple hits. Jamie Johnson went 1-for-4 with a double.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
2-3, 5th in North Division
Shawn Teufel lasted just four-plus innings in the start, giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and picked up the loss. Daniel Fields went 2-for-4, while Marcus Lemon went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Lakeland left 10 on base.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
4-3, T-2nd in Eastern Division
Jade Todd allowed three earned runs in the bottom of the ninth and picked up the loss. Kyle Ryan gave up five runs (one earned) in five innings in the start, but was in line for the win as West Michigan scored seven through two innings. Aaron Westlake went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Chad Wright went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
3-8, 4th in New York-Penn League Stedler
Tyler Barrett allowed three baserunners without recording an out in the sixth innings. Two came in to score and Barrett was credited with the loss. Jeff McVaney went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Jared Reaves went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Charles Gillies allowed two unearned runs on one hit and one walk in five innings in the start.
The Tigers scored four in the bottom of the 10th after allowing three in the top frame for the comeback win. Jose Ovalles went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, while Albertin Chavez went 3-for-3 with a run scored. Johan Belisario allowed five hits over six scoreless innings in the start. Edgar Pina gave up three runs (two earned), but ended up with the win.
8-13, 5th in San Pedro de Macoris
Janry Obispo allowed two hits over five scoreless innings and picked up the win. The bullpen allowed two hits over the final four scoreless innings. Ignacio Valdez went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, while Manuel Joseph went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
6-4, 2nd in GCL North
Jake Thompson allowed two earned runs over three innings and picked up his first professional loss. Thompson allowed three hits while walking two. Harold Castro went 3-for-5 with a double, while Austin Schotts went 2-for-5 with an RBI.
