AAA Toledo Mud Hens
40-59, 3rd in West Division
Brooks Brown pitched five scoreless innings in the start and picked up the win. Brown allowed five hits and one walk while striking out six. Ben Guez went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, while Jerad Head went 2-for-4. Toledo scored all three runs in the first. Luis Marte allowed an earned run in the ninth, but picked up the save.
AA Erie Seawolves
46-51, T-5th in Eastern Division
In the first game of the doubleheader, James Avery pitched five scoreless innings and picked up his 10th win of the season. Avery allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six. Michael Rockett went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Bruce Rondon allowed two hits, but kept his ERA at 0.00 and recorded his 10th save.
The second game was postponed. The teams will play doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
15-11, T-2nd in North Division
Brian Stroud gave up six earned runs in 2 2/3 innings and picked up the loss. Guido Knudson allowed three earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of relief. James Robbins went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, while Dean Green went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
14-13, T-4th in Eastern Division
Daniel Bennett allowed four runs (three earned) in the top of the 11th and recorded the loss. Bennett pitched three innings of relief. Kyle Ryan gave up two earned runs in five innings in the start. Eugenio Suarez went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Jeff McVaney went 1-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs.
14-18, 3rd in New York-Penn League Stedler
Josh Turley gave up one hit in four scoreless innings of relief and picked up the win. Charles Gillies allowed four earned runs over four innings in the start. Juaner Aguasvivas went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, while Danry Vasquez went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. William Clinard pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
The Tigers' game against the Rays was postponed.
16-20, 4th in San Pedro de Macoris

Nick Carmichael pitched six scoreless innings in the start to move to 3-0 on the year. Carmichael gave up five hits and one walk while striking out five. Jesus Ustariz went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Tim Remes went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
