Aaron Westlake drove in three runs.

Toledo couldn't get anything going offensively on Wednesday, putting up two hits and getting shutout in a lopsided loss against Louisville. Lakeland topped Daytona behind a platoon of late offense as the Flying Tigers scored seven runs in the final two innings. West Michigan fell at home against Clinton while Connecticut earned an extra innings win. Aaron Westlake homered and the GCL Tigers won.

Toledo struggled in every aspect of Wednesday's game against Louisville as the Mud Hens could only muster up two hits against the Bats, getting shut out in a 12-0 final. Starting pitcher Ramon Garcia fell to 3-8 on the year after allowing five earned runs on eight hits over five innings. Justin Souza gave up four earned runs in two innings of relief. Mike Cervenak and Avisail Garcia each had singles in the loss.

Lakeland overcame a late six-run deficit by scoring seven runs in the final two innings of Wednesday's game against Daytona as the Flying Tigers edged the Cubs 7-6. Starting pitcher Hudson Randall earned a no decision after allowing four earned runs on 9 hits over 4 ? innings. Nick Avila improved his record to 2-2 after earning the win in relief while Matt Davenport earned his first save of the season. Jason Krizan, Corey Jones and Luis Alberto Sanz each drove in two runs for the Flying Tigers while Francisco Martinez added another RBI and a double.

West Michigan struggled to put together any offense in Wednesday's series opener against Clinton, putting up a run in the second inning but otherwise getting held in check as the Whitecaps fell to the LumberKings 6-1. Starting pitcher Charlie Gillies fell to 1-5 with the loss, allowing five earned runs on eight hits over 4 ? innings. Danry Vasquez had a strong outing in the loss, going 3-for-5 at the plate.

Connecticut needed extra innings in Wednesday's series opener against Williamsport but the Tigers scored the winning run in the bottom of the eleventh inning to top the Crosscutters 5-4. Alex Phillips earned a no decision in his start after allowing two earned runs on three hits over six innings. Scott Sitz improved to 1-1 on the year after earning the win in relief. Dominic Ficociello led the way at the plate for the Tigers, going 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
