Toledo relied on big home runs in each of its two games against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday as the Mud Hens won both games of the doubleheader. Erie won its second in a row while the Flying Tigers earned a big win.

Toledo broke open a 1-1 tie with three runs in the tenth inning of Tuesday's game against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as the Mud Hens topped the RailRiders 4-1. Kyle Lobstein earned a no decision in the start after allowing one earned run on two hits over 5 ? innings. Robbie Weinhardt improved his record to 3-0 with a win out of the bullpen and Jose Valverde earned his fifth save of the season. Avisail Garcia was the hero in the late innings, hitting the go-ahead three-run home run on a 2-for-5 night at the plate.

Toledo utilized more late-game heroics in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as the Mud Hens came from behind to top the RailRiders 3-1. Starting pitcher Blaine Hardy improved his record to 3-0 with the win, allowing one earned run on three hits over five innings. Jeremy Bonderman pitched a shutout in his one inning of work out of the bullpen and Kenny Faulk earned his first save of the season. Nick Castellanos was the hero of the second game, hitting a three-run home run on a 1-for-3 night at the plate.

Erie jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in Tuesday's game against Richmond and never let up as the SeaWolves topped the Flying Squirrels 5-1. Starting pitcher Warwick Saupold improved his record to 5-3 with the win, shutting out Richmond on five hits over five innings. Wade Gaynor led the SeaWolves at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs driven in in the win.

Runs came early and often for Lakeland in Tuesday's game against Bradenton as the Flying Tigers topped the Marauders 6-3. Thomas Collier earned his first win of the season in his start, allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Jose Valdez earned his seventh save of the season in the win. Jason Krizan led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs driven in. Jeff McVaney had a solo home run in the win.

Austin Schotts gave the offense a boost out of the leadoff spot with a solo home run on a 2-for-4 night at the plate.
