AAA Toledo Mud Hens
53-70, 4th in West Division
Toledo was locked in a tie heading into extra innings in Saturday's game against Indianapolis before Danny Worth's walkoff RBI double locked the game up for the Mud Hens in the tenth, topping the Indians 5-4. Jair Jurrjens earned a no decision in the start after allowing four earned runs on six hits over 5 ? innings. Jose Ortega improved to 4-0 after earning the win in relief. Danny Worth had the game-winner on an RBI double while Kevin Russo drove in three runs in the win. Ben Guez hit his seventeenth home run of the season.
AA Erie Seawolves
63-55, 1st in Western Division
Erie overcame a four-run deficit by scoring six runs in the final two innings of Saturday's game against Binghamton as the SeaWolves topped the Mets 6-4. Drew VerHagen earned a no decision in the start after allowing three earned runs on four hits over three innings. Will Startup improved to 5-1 with a win out of the bullpen and Melvin Mercedes earned his eighth save of the season. James Robbins had a big night at the plate, hitting his sixth home run of the season and driving in three runs in the win. Wade Gaynor drove in two runs and hit a double for the SeaWolves.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
51-57, 5th in North Division
Lakeland brought the power in Saturday's game against Clearwater but the Flying Tigers couldn't close the game out in extra innings, falling to the Threshers 4-3. Kyle Ryan earned a no decision in the start after allowing two earned runs on six hits over six innings. Alex Burgos fell to 3-5 with the loss in relief. All of Lakeland's runs came on solo homers, with Dixon Machado, Steven Moya and John Murrian each going deep in the loss.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
56-60, 5th in Eastern Division
West Michigan was on the wrong end of history in Saturday's game against South Bend as the Whitecaps went hitless, falling to the Silver Hawks 2-0. Endrys Briceno fell to 7-7 with the loss after allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Dean Green drew the only walk for West Michigan, preventing the perfect game. The no-hitter thrown by South Bend's Brad Allen is the first in the history of the team.
A Short-Season Connecticut
23-29, 4th in Stedler Division
Connecticut scored two runs in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against Auburn but it wasn't enough as the Tigers fell to the Doubledays 7-3. Starting pitcher Buck Farmer fell to 0-2 with the loss after allowing one earned run on four hits over three innings. Kasey Coffman had an RBI triple in the loss.
R DSL Tigers
40-19, 1st in Dominican Summer League San Pedro de Macoris
The DSL Tigers brought the offense to the ballpark in Saturday's game against the Brewers as the Tigers topped the Brewers 15-5. Starting pitcher Gerson Moreno improved to 2-0 with the win after allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Willy Adames and Francisco Contreras each drove in three runs in the win.
R GCL Tigers
25-18, 2nd in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers couldn't stop the Yankees' offense on Saturday's as the Tigers fell to the Yankees 10-4. Starting pitcher Preston Jamison fell to 0-3 with the loss after allowing four earned runs on four hits over 1 ? innings. Steven Negron drove in a pair of runs out of the leadoff spot.
