AAA Toledo Mud Hens
54-75, 4th in West Division
Toledo held a late two-run lead in Saturday's game against Gwinnett before giving up four unanswered runs as the Mud Hens fell to the Braves 4-2. Jon Link earned a no decision in the start after shutting out the Braves on three hits over five innings. Jose Ortega fell to 4-1 after earning the loss in relief. Ronny Paulino and Argenis Diaz each drove in runs for Toledo in the loss.
AA Erie Seawolves
66-59, 2nd in Western Division
Erie broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the fourth inning of Saturday's game against Altoona as the SeaWolves topped the Curve 4-1. Starting pitcher Victor Larez improved to 8-7 after earning the win, allowing one earned run on two hits over five innings. Melvin Mercedes earned his ninth save of the season in the win. Luis Castillo drove in two runs on a 2-for-3 night in the win.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
55-61, 2nd in North Division
A six-run eighth inning gave Lakeland a much-needed boost in Saturday's high scoring game against Tampa as the Flying Tigers topped the Yankees 10-8. Wilsen Palacios pitched to two batters in his start before leaving the game. Slade Smith stayed undefeated at 3-0 after earning the win in relief and Jose Valdez earned his third save. Aaron Westlake was the hero for Lakeland as his pinch hit triple drove in three runs in the win.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
58-64, 5th in Eastern Division
West Michigan held on to a 3-0 lead in Saturday's game against Dayton despite giving up a pair of late runs as the Whitecaps topped the Dragons 3-2. Starting pitcher Jordan John improved to 8-4 in the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits over six innings. Corey Knebel earned his twelfth save of the season in the win. Harold Castro and Connor Harrell each drove in runs with two outs.
A Short-Season Connecticut
26-31, 4th in Stedler Division
Connecticut held on to an early lead in Saturday's game against Aberdeen as the Tigers topped the IronBirds 5-3. Buck Farmer earned a no decision in the start after shutting out Aberdeen on one hit over three innings. Logan Elhers improved to 3-1 after earning the win in relief and Zac Reininger earned his eighth save of the season. Javier Azcona drove in two runs on a 1-for-4 night.
R DSL Tigers
46-20, 1st in Dominican Summer League San Pedro de Macoris
The DSL Tigers jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings of Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays and did not relent as the Tigers topped the Blue Jays 5-2. Starting pitcher Carlos Lara improved to 3-2 with the win after allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Jesus Guzman earned his eighth save of the season in the win. Five players each drove in one run for the Tigers in the win.
R GCL Tigers
29-21, 2nd in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers scored six runs in the sixth inning of Wednesday's game against the Braves to take a commanding lead as the Tigers topped the Braves 9-4. Starting pitcher Confesor Lara improved to 2-2 with the win after allowing after allowing one earned run on 9 hits over six innings. Tim Remes hit two home runs and drove in three for the Tigers on a 3-for-4 night at the plate.
