Thames again crushed the ball in July

While I had hoped to be able to give the July Player of the Month Award to top pick Cameron Maybin, I guess it is pretty safe to say that's not happening. Despite this disappointment, there were some very exciting performances throughout the minor league system. Some of the decisions were beyond difficult, which is a problem you won't hear me complaining about.

Marcus Thames has done this to us before. Yet again in July, Thames destroyed International League pitching to the tune of a .363/.455/.700 line. Despite this incredible performance, it is a little tough for fans to get too excited, considering his well publicized struggles in Detroit.
