Audy Ciriaco's hit in the 11th inning gave West Michigan the go-ahead run, which turned out to be the lone win in the organization. Erie couldn't get any run support for Eddie Bonine despite a great start, and Toledo was shut out again, this time at the hands of Buffalo.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens – BUFFALO 4, TOLEDO 0
6-7, 3rd in West division
For the second time in three games the Toledo Mud Hens were shutout with a 4-0 loss against Buffalo Wednesday morning at Fifth Third Field. Brent Clevlen, Kevin Hooper and Timo Perez each recorded a hit for the 'Hens who combined for nine strikeouts Wednesday, the same number they had Monday when they were also shut out. But the strikeouts might be better credited to the Bisons impressive pitching. Bison starting pitcher Jason Stanford (2-0, 0.00 E.R.A) was lights out with his second shutout win of the season. Stanford retired seven batters on strikes, while only allowing one hit and two walks in seven innings pitched. Perez's ninth inning single extended his hitting streak to 12 games. As of Tuesday Perez led the International league in hits (16) and runs scored (11). The loss was credited to Dennis Tankersley (2-1, 4.02 E.R.A.) after the right-hander allowed two earned runs off of six hits and three walks in four and one-third innings pitched. Tankersley also recorded three strikeouts. The Mud Hens will return to action against the Bisons (8-2) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Fifth Third Field. Right-hander Yorman Bazardo (0-1, 13.50) will get the start for the Mud Hens.
