Justin Justice had another big night at the plate, ripping a pair of doubles and driving in two runs as he helped lead Lakeland to victory, the lone win for the farm on Wednesday with the Whitecaps off and Erie being rained out.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens –CHARLOTTE 6, TOLEDO 4
10-10, 2nd in West division
Mike Hessman, Chris Shelton and Ryan Rayburn each hit home runs but it wasn't enough for the Mud Hens who lost 6-4 to Charlotte Wednesday night. Ramon Santiago went 2-for-4 and Timo Perez who saw limited action as a pinch hitter went 0-for-1 ending his hit streak at 19 games. Zach Miner allowed four runs off of seven hits in seven innings. Miner recorded four strikeouts but also two runs in what became his third no decision of the season. Preston Larrison (0-1, 1.88 E.R.A.) recorded the loss for the. The Mud Hens are off Thursday they will resume action at 7:00 p.m. Friday against Rochester with Virgil Vasquez (2-2, 3.48 E.R.A) taking the mound at Fifth Third Field.

AA Erie SeaWolves –PPD: RAIN
8-7, 3rd in Southern division
Akron and Erie were postponed on Wednesday, but will make the game up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, starting at 9:35am.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – LAKELAND 4, SARASOTA 1
9-10, 4th in West division
The Flying Tigers forcefully captured their series with the Sarasota Reds Wednesday night, with a final score of 4-1. Eleazar Aponte pitched six innings while surrendering zero runs and striking out five batters. Freddy Dolsi registered his second save of the season, striking out two batters in the 9th inning. On the offensive side, Justin Justice batted 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in. Cameron Maybin and Wilkin Ramirez also tallied one RBI each on the night. The Flying Tigers return home Thursday night to open their series against the Clearwater Threshers at 7:00 PM. Starting pitchers have yet to be announced.

A West Mich. Whitecaps – OFF DAY
9-8, 3rd in Eastern division

West Michigan had Wednesday off before embarking on an eight game road trip starting Thursday at Peoria. Duane Below is scheduled to pitch for the Whitecaps against Rafael Dolis at 7:30 p.m.
