West Michigan continued its hot streak on Sunday, picking up its sixth win in its last seven games, with the help of Deik Scram (who extended his hit streak to 11) and Duane Below. Plus, with another win over Harrisburg, Erie has taken over first place in the Southern division.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens – COLUMBUS 3, TOLEDO 0
13-17, 4th in West division
The Mud Hens were blanked and Zach Miner still hasn't earned his first win of the season after a 3-0 loss to Columbus Sunday. Ramon Santiago and Brent Clevlen had the only two hits for the 'Hens who will face Rochester Monday. Virgil Vasquez (3-2, 2.57 E.R.A) will start for the 'Hens who will try to snap a four game road losing streak.

AA Erie SeaWolves – ERIE 5, HARRISBURG 1
15-11, 1st in Southern division
The Erie SeaWolves completed a series sweep of the Harrisburg Senators with a 5-1 victory on Sunday. Starting pitcher Jon Connolly had his best outing of the season lasting seven innings and allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out eight. It was the first victory of the season for Connolly. The SeaWolves were led offensively by Jeff Larish who reached base all four times at bat with three walks and a solo home run in the second. It was the seventh home run of the season for Larish. Clete Thomas also hit a home run it was his first of the season. Jackson Melian was the only SeaWolves player with two hits going 2-for-4 with a run scored. The SeaWolves will travel to Altoona for a series with the Curve. The first game will be Monday at 6:35 p.m. The pitching matchup will be Dallas Trahern (5-0, 1.78 ERA) for Erie and Luis Munoz (3-0, 2.60 ERA) for Altoona.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – LAKELAND 5, JUPITER 4
12-18, 5th in West division
The Flying Tigers defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads 5-4 in a rain-shortened game Sunday afternoon. Kyle Denney started for Lakeland, pitching 2 and 1/3 innings and surrendering four runs. Reliever Matt Righter was credited with the victory, as he followed Denney and pitched 3 and 2/3 innings while giving up zero runs. On the offensive side, Ryan Roberson batted 1-for-3, blasting a three-run home run. Justin Justice and Michael Hernandez also registered one RBI each. Lakeland will look to take the series lead Monday night at 7:00 PM. Andrew Miller will most likely make the start for Lakeland, while Jupiter’s starting pitcher has yet to be announced.

A West Mich. Whitecaps – W. MICH. 5, BURLINGTON 3
16-12, 3rd in Eastern division

West Michigan picked up their fourth straight victory Sunday with a 5-3 win over Burlington. Eight Whitecaps batters had at least one hit, and five had an RBI. Deik Scram and James Skelton each had two hits including a double and an RBI. Brennan Boesch, Santo De Leon and Scott Sizemore also knocked in a run apiece. Duane Below allowed no earned runs over six innings with six strikeouts to get the win. Brett Jensen picked up his fifth save despite allowing an earned run on three hits and a walk in the ninth. The Whitecaps go for the series sweep Monday at 6:35 p.m.
