After returning from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for almost a month, Cameron Maybin jumped right back into producing the way he had been. So much so, that the Tigers felt he was ready for a new challenge.
Maybin was hitting .304 with 10 home runs, 44 RBI, 25 stolen bases and an .879 OPS.
With that, they promoted him to Double-A Erie, where he'll join the SeaWolves outfield. No word yet on how the SeaWolves will make room for Maybin in the outfield everyday. However, there has been no indication that the team has any plans to move Maybin out of his centerfield position.
