With the arbitration filing deadline on Wednesday, the Tigers came to terms with arbitration-eligible reliever Tim Byrdak, as well as outfielder Timo Perez. The Tigers still have six players that are eligible for arbitration.

After designating Timo Perez for assignment last week, they have resigned him to a one-year major league contract worth a maximum of $525,000.

In addition, the Tigers resigned Tim Byrdak to a one-year deal, worth $712,500. The deal helps the Tigers avoid arbitration with Byrdak.

That leaves the Tigers with six players still eligible for arbitration. Left handers Dontrelle Willis, Nate Robertson and Bobby Seay, third baseman Miguel Cabrera and outfielder Marcus Thames.

The Tigers also have Chad Durbin eligible, but will not tender him a contract.
