Fien Excited for Next Opportunity

Fien is now up with the Mud Hens

It has been a storybook type season for relief pitcher Casey Fien. He was expected to start the season in the Florida State League playing with the Lakeland Flying Tigers but after an impressive showing in spring training he was assigned to Erie for his first Double-A assignment.

Casey Fien has been impressive all season long except for a short time in May when he posted a 6.79 ERA in 11 appearances. He followed that up by not allowing a run in 11 appearances in the month of June. Fien has been so good in his first season of Double-A ball that he earned a call up to Toledo to replace Mud Hens reliever Blaine Neal who was selected to play on the U.S.A. Olympic team...
