Game Notes: Take the early offensive outburst with a grain of salt, as Houston starter Robert Bono was in there specifically to work on a new slider….The hits in the first were still smoked for the most part, which is a good sign that these youngsters can take advantage of some hangers….I’ll have a full report later, but Darwin De Leon has some serious talent, he just needs to gain consistency….Cody Satterwhite and Jay Sborz at the end of a game is almost unfair; both guys were bringing heat and snapped off a couple filthy breaking pitches….There will be some pictures of this available later, but Cale Iorg took some harassment about his ‘sliding’ technique, as he had an ugly one into second that ended with some small cuts on his face….Andrew Graham was back in action today for the first time since Tommy John surgery, he wasn’t playing behind the plate but he looked good up to bat….Audy Ciriaco has a limitless ceiling, and all he did was confirm this today….Andy Dirks has the speed to steal some bags, but his jumps right now need some work; he got a terrible look off Houston left-hander Mike Hacker….Grullon’s triple came as a result of a diving attempt by the right fielder, and would likely have played as a single or double had he not had trouble getting to his feet….Everything Alex Avila and Cale Iorg hit, is hit very hard….more coming this week with a full summary of observations….
