Toledo's bid to get back to .500 fell short on Saturday as they fell to Gwinnett 9-5. Nate Robertson had a rough go of it as the starter, giving up five runs (though just two earned) in 1 2/3 innings of work. He also walked one and struck out three. Brooks Brown pitched in relief but battled his control, giving up three runs on six hits and six walks in four innings. Mike Hessman belted a two run homer for the club, while Jeff Frazier added a solo shot. Dane Sardinha also drove in two.

The SeaWolves got back in the win column with an 11-7 shootout win over Connecticut. Pat Stanley picked up a win for the club, giving up three runs in six innings of work. Zach Simons and Robbie Weinhardt each allowed a pair of runs in relief, but Erie never saw their lead dwindle too much. Deik Scram fell a double short of the cycle, driving in five runs total. Brennan Boesch also had a big RBI day with three hits and four RBI. Santo de Leon also added three hits and two runs scored.

Despite being out-hit 15 to 11, the Flying Tigers still took home an 8-5 win over Brevard County. Mark Sorensen got the start but was chased early, giving up four runs in 2 1/3 innings of work, yielding seven hits. Trevor Feeney got the win in relief, giving up six hits but just one run in 3 2/3 innings. Brett Jacobson pitched the ninth for his fifth save. Max Leon, Devin Thomas and Adrian Casanova each drove in a pair of runs for the Flying Tigers.

The Whitecaps were hammered by Great Lakes on Saturday, falling 10-2. Luke Putkonen got the start and suffered the loss, giving up five runs in five innings of work. Anthony Shawler and Tyler Conn combined to give up five more runs in relief. Jordan Lennerton ripped a pair of doubles while Mike Gosse and Joe Bowen each drove in a run.

Oneonta is still hanging onto first place in the division, but not by much as they were shut out by Staten Island 2-0. Clemente Mendoza took the loss but was outstanding, giving up just one run on four hits in seven innings of work with seven strikeouts. His only blemish was a solo home run in the fifth inning, that turned out to be too much for the O-Tigers to recover from. The offense managed just four singles for the game.

And just like that with a couple of wins the GCL Tigers have jumped back into a tie for third place after their 6-2 triumph over the GCL Braves. Jarrod Wesson got his first win, giving up two runs in five innings of work. Richard Zumaya and Nolan Moody each tossed two shutout innings of relief, with Moody earning his first save. Londell Taylor, Alexander Nunez and Jordan Cruz each ripped solo homers as one of their two hits, with Nunez driving in two total.

The DSL Tigers picked up a 2-0 shutout win over the DSL Padres with an outstanding pitching performance from Yadiel Polanco. Polanco gave up just one hit and no runs in six innings of work to pick up his first win of the year. Jose Valdez pitched two perfect innings of relief for a hold, and Vladimir Ortiz earned his ninth save with a perfect ninth. Robinson Figueroa and Samuel Ortiz each drove in a run.
