REPORT: Tigers Ink Valverde to 2-year Deal

According to Yahoo Sports, former Houston closer Jose Valverde has reached an agreement with the Tigers on a two-year deal worth $14 million, with a club option for a third year.

The Tigers appear to have solved their problem of not having a closer, as the Tigers have reportedly inked former Houston Jose Valverde to a two-year deal with a club option for a third.

Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown first reported the deal.

The deal is worth $14 million over the two years, with a $9 million club option for a third year.
