AAA Toledo Mud Hens – DURHAM 5, TOLEDO 2
Durham Wins Series 3-0
The Mud Hens season came to a disappointing end on Friday, falling to Durham 5-2 as the Bulls completed a three game sweep of the ‘Hens. The game was knotted at two heading into the ninth inning, when Aquilino Lopez gave up three runs to give Durham a comfortable lead and close out the series. Eulogio de la Cruz battled his control all day, but ultimately turned in a solid start, giving up two runs over 5 2/3 innings. David Espinosa had two hits and a run scored, while Andres Torres and Chris Maples each had an RBI. The loss wraps up the ‘Hens season, falling short of laying claim to the Governor’s Cup.

AA Erie SeaWolves – AKRON 6, ERIE 3
1-2, Best of Five Series
The SeaWolves offense couldn't get going until the eighth inning as they fell 6-3 to the Akron Aeros. The Aeros scored the games first run in the bottom of the fifth to take a 1-0 lead over visiting Erie. Stephen Head hit his second home run of the series in the sixth off of Erie starting pitcher Andrew Kown. Jordan Brown added a two run home run in the seventh off of Randor Bierd and Akron led 6-0 after seven innings. The 'Wolves tried to make the game interesting scoring a run in the eighth on a RBI single by Michael Hernandez. Erie added two more in the ninth but Jim Ed Warden got Danny Worth to hit a ground ball for the final out. Andrew Kown suffered the loss pitching six innings and allowing six hits and three earned runs. Clete Thomas was 2-for-5 with a RBI and Nick McIntyre was 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Erie. The 'Wolves trail Akron 2-1 in the series and game four will be Saturday at 7:05 p.m. in Akron. Dallas Trahern will take the mound for Erie in game four, as they try to extend the series to a fifth game.

A+ Lakeland Flying Tigers – END OF SEASON

Lakeland wrapped up the season in last place, not qualifying for the Florida State League playoffs.

2-0, ‘Caps Win Series
West Michigan will start the best-of-three Eastern Division Championship Series on the road Saturday against South Bend at 3:00 p.m. Jeff Gerbe is scheduled to start for the Whitecaps.

SS-A Oneonta Tigers – ABERDEEN 7, ONEONTA 2
44-32, 1st in Stedler division
Aberdeen took the season finale from Oneonta on Friday evening, 7-2. Manny Miguelez took the loss, his first for Oneonta, giving up a run over three innings of work. Michael Sullivan did have three hits in the losing effort, while Adrian Casanova and Miguel Linares each drove in a run. Oneonta is off on Saturday, but starts their playoff series with Auburn on Sunday at 6:00pm.

R GCL Tigers – END OF SEASON
28-32, t-4th in North division
The GCL Tigers ended the season in fourth place, falling outside of the Gulf Coast League playoffs.
