Drafted by Tampa Bay in 20th round, 1998; drafted by Detroit in second round(55th overall) 2001; signed by Cleveland as a minor-league free agent, 7/7/08.
In eight seasons in the Tigers' farm system, he compiled a 34-44 record with two saves and a 3.75 ERA in 191 games including 103 starts. In 691 innings, he allowed 691 hits and 271 walks, striking out 395. ... Best season was 2002 at Class A Lakeland, when he went 10-5 with a 2.39 ERA, allowing only 86 hits in 120 1/3 innings.
