Miner has boomerang'd back to the organization

While the SeaWolves have been on the road playing against Bowie and Trenton, the club has acquired several new players to add to the Erie roster. The new acquisitions will help the team out on the mound, especially with key players like Jay Voss and Zach Samuels headed to the disabled list.

Welcome to Erie Being in need of depth on the mound in the minor leagues the Detroit Tigers traded the Kansas City Royals cash for pitcher Zach Miner. Miner, who played for the Tigers organization from 2005 – 2009, spent last season playing for the Royals Double-A and Triple-A teams, largely due to undergoing and recovering from Tommy John surgery in 2010.
