Erie MLN: Welcome to the Wolves

The occurrence of the MLB draft brings many dreams to life for hundreds of young baseball players around the world. The draft forces all 30 major league baseball teams to reevaluate their rosters, which greatly affects their minor league affiliate rosters as well. Coincidentally, the Erie SeaWolves roster was being completely readjusted this week just as the 2012 draft was just getting underway.

Rearranged Roster Catcher John Murrian was placed on the 7-day disabled list earlier this week after pulling a Hamstring muscle while the team was away playing in Richmond. Murrian going on the DL resulted in Lakeland catcher Luis Sanz being called up to Erie. While playing for Lakeland, Sanz played in 11 games and had an average of .195 with three runs batted in.
