Guido Knudson gave up a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth, picking up a blown save and a loss. Jared Wesson went seven innings in the start, allowing one earned run on five hits. Daniel Fields had Lakeland's lone hit, going 1-for-3 with a run scored. In the fourth, Wade Gaynor walked, Fields singled and an error on sac bunt scored Gaynor and got Fields to second. He scored on a groundout.

Clinton starter Jordan Shipers threw a no-hitter, walking two and striking out two. West Michigan starter Marcelo Carreno allowed three runs (two earned) over four innings and recorded the loss. Nicholas Avila gave up six runs (five earned) in two innings of relief.

Jake Stewart's two-out double in the third drove in the lone run of the game. Stewart went 2-for-4. Hua-Wei Lo gave up three hits over six scoreless innings and picked up his first win of the season. Brett Harrison went 1-for-3 with the run scored. Matt Davenport allowed one hit in the ninth, but picked up the save.

Jose Zambrano went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Tigers. Luis Cedeno allowed two earned runs over 4 2/3 innings in the start, but Jose Medina picked up the win after recording the final out of the fifth. Carlos Perez went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Franklin Navarro went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
