AAA Toledo Mud Hens
34-51, 4th in West Division
After back-to-back showings of strong offense, Toledo struggled to generate any offense in Sunday's game against Lehigh Valley as the Mud Hens fell to the IronPigs 5-0. Starting pitcher Shawn Hill fell to 1-11 with the loss after allowing five earned runs on 10 hits over 5 ? innings. Two of Toledo's three hits came from Alex Avila, who went 2-for-4 on the night. Gustavo Nunez was the only other Toledo hitter to tally a hit.
AA Erie Seawolves
41-39, 2nd in Western Division
Erie held Richmond's offense mostly in check in Sunday's game but could generate no offense of its own as the SeaWolves were shut out by the Flying Squirrels 2-0. Starting pitcher Victor Larez fell to 6-5 on the season two earned runs on five hits over 6 ? innings while striking out seven. Eugenio Suarez was Erie's only hitter to record an extra base hit or multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in the loss.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
33-44, 5th in North Division
Play was suspended in the top of the second inning of Sunday's game against Brevard County with Lakeland trailing 6-0.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
38-43, 6th in Eastern Division
West Michigan struggled to generate much offense for the second game in a row against Bowling Green as the Whitecaps fell to the Hot Rods in a lopsided 8-1 final. Starting pitcher Charlie Gillies fell to 0-4 with the loss, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits in five innings. Jason King drove in the lone run for the ‘Caps on a sacrifice, going 0-for-3 on the night. Jeff Holm went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the loss.
A Short-Season Connecticut
4-9, 4th in Stedler Division
A one-run deficit quickly turned into a five-run hole after Connecticut allowed four runs in the third inning of Sunday's game against Tri-City as the Tigers fell to the ValleyCats 6-2. Preston Jamison fell to 0-2 on the season after losing his start, allowing six earned runs on three hits over 2 ? innings while walking six. Austin Green hit his first home run of the season in the loss, a solo shot in the third inning on a 1-for-2 night at the plate in which he also drew a walk.

R VSL Tigers
18-22, 4th in Venezuelan Summer League
The VSL Tigers trailed the Cubs by two runs late in Sunday's game before putting up four unanswered, topping the Cubs 4-2. Starting pitcher Luis Cedeno took the no decision after allowing two earned runs on six hits over five innings of work. Oswaldo Castillo improved his record to 4-2 after earning the win in relief while Alfred Gutierrez earned his first save of the season. Jose Ovalles had one at-bat as a pinch hitter but made the most of it, hitting a double and driving in two runs in the win.
