AAA Toledo Mud Hens

Toledo broke a 3-3 with a go-ahead run in the sixth inning of Wednesday's game against Norfolk as the Mud Hens topped the Tides 5-3. Blaine Hardy earned a no decision in the start after allowing three earned runs on six hits over five innings. Luke Putkonen improved to 2-0 after earning the win in relief and Jose Ortega earned his fourth save of the season. Brad Davis hit two doubles and drove in two runs in the win and Ben Guez added a pair of runs on a 3-for-4 night at the plate.
AA Erie Seawolves
64-57, 2nd in Western Division
Erie jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning of Wednesday's game against Bowie and never gave it up as the SeaWolves doubled up the Baysox 12-6. Starting pitcher Kelvin Perez earned a no decision, allowing three earned runs on four hits over 2 ? innings. Will Startup improved to 6-1 after earning the win out of the bullpen. Wade Gaynor hit his tenth home run of the season and drove in three runs in the win. Tyler Collins and Ramon Cabrera each drove in a pair of runs.
High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
53-60, 2nd in North Division
Lakeland gave up four runs in the first inning of Wednesday's game against Dunedin and the Flying Tigers couldn't generate any offense, falling to the Blue Jays 5-0. Octavio Dotel fell to 0-1 after earning the loss in his rehab start, allowing four earned runs on five hits in ? innings. No Lakeland hitter recorded more than one hit or an extra base hit in the loss.
Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
57-62, 5th in Eastern Division
West Michigan fell into an early five-run hole in Wednesday's series opener against Lansing and a late comeback bid fell short as the Whitecaps fell to the Lugnuts 6-2. Starting pitcher Edgar De La Rosa fell to 6-6 with the loss, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits over five innings. Connor Harrell went 1-for-2 with two walks in the loss.
A Short-Season Connecticut
25-29, 4th in Stedler Division
Connecticut fell behind by two runs early in Wednesday's game against Tri-City before the Tigers scored four unanswered runs, topping the ValleyCats 4-2. Starting pitcher Alex Phillips improved to 4-1 with the win, allowing one earned run on four hits over six innings. Will LaMarche earned his second save of the season. Ben Verlander drove in two runs on a 1-for-4 night at the plate.
R DSL Tigers
42-20, 1st in Dominican Summer League San Pedro de Macoris
The DSL Tigers jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings of Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays and did not relent as the Tigers topped the Blue Jays 5-2. Starting pitcher Carlos Lara improved to 3-2 with the win after allowing one earned run on four hits over five innings. Jesus Guzman earned his eighth save of the season in the win. Five players each drove in one run for the Tigers in the win.
R GCL Tigers
27-19, 2nd in Gulf Coast League
The GCL Tigers scored six runs in the sixth inning of Wednesday's game against the Braves to take a commanding lead as the Tigers topped the Braves 9-4. Starting pitcher Confesor Lara improved to 2-2 with the win after allowing after allowing one earned run on 9 hits over six innings. Tim Remes hit two home runs and drove in three for the Tigers on a 3-for-4 night at the plate.
